On July 1, 2021, President Mark Lamontagne (21-22) took over for outgoing President Kevin Smith. What started out as a peaceful ceremony turned a little disorderly as Kevin was having second thoughts about handing over the reigns. All turned out well in the end and no one was injured. 

This past year has been a bit challenging, and our Club met the challenge head-on, holding service projects specifically-designed to address the challenges people were facing with Covid-19, projects to help seniors in our community, projects to help our youth, and projects to help beautify our community. We even managed to support an orphanage in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. Without the ability to come together and raise funds for these projects, our club members put on their thinking caps, and designed several successful virtual fundraising events. Our club members truly exemplify the Rotary Motto: SERVICE ABOVE SELF. 

Over the coming year, we have plans to continue our good work in the community and are looking forward to making a trip down to Costa Rica to personally participate in a fundraising event in support of the orphanage in La Fortuna. 

We have a vibrant Fellowship and Social Committee that will be planning events for us throughout the year so we can get together and enjoy each other’s company. We do like to have fun while making a difference. 

We are an active club and membership is open to all ages and walks of life. Everyone is welcome. All you need is a desire to help make our community and world a better place while making some new friends along the way!
