Here is the email we received from Amber Livingstone of the DIA:
A big THANK YOU to the Rotary Club of Nipissing for agreeing to host the third fire pit for the marshmallow roasting activation at the Christmas Walk on November 24th.
The Marshmallow Roast runs from 6:30-8pm in the empty lot between Guardian Pharmacy and the walkway building on Main W. We would like for your team to arrive for 6pm to set up and get the fires started by 6:30pm.
Downtown will supply a fire pit, wood, fire extinguisher, marshmallows & roasting sticks, as well as necessary items to start the fire.
NUSU and Rotary North Bay are looking after the other 2 fire pits in the same area.
I am aiming to have volunteers bring all of the items mentioned above to the location and watch the area until the host organizations arrive.
I will send out a similar email closer to the event date to all of the host organizations.
Please indicate if you would be able to help out at this event. You should have no problem staying warm! LOL
